FDS Beta Test

I've put a final test version of FDS (version 2.9) on the
ftp site

ftp://ftp.nist.gov/pub/bfrl/mcgratta/FDS3/PC

You can also get to the code via the website. Go to the FAQ
list and read the 
question about test versions.

I've tried to implement as many of the suggestions that I've
received from users,
so if you've made a suggestion or reported a bug, please try
the new version to
make sure it works for you. If it doesn't, send me a note.
There are new manuals
on the ftp site as well. I'd like to spend a few weeks
working out the final kinks,
then go with an official release of FDS/Smokeview Version 3.
Even if you haven't
reported anything, as a favor try the latest version of
FDS/Smokeview for any case
you're familiar with, and let me know if the new version
works OK.

FDS v2 input files should work in version 3. Let me know if
it doesn't. When running
v3, use the database3.data file instead of database2.data.
The new database is under
DATABASE on the ftp site.
