All
I've fixed a few bugs since the release of FDS 3.0
Most of the bugs are minor, having to do with output
formats, but there was an
important fix to the thermal boundary condition routine
having to do with the
temperature of air blowing from vents. The new version (FDS
3.02) is at the
FTP site:
ftp://ftp.nist.gov/pub/bfrl/mcgratta/FDS3/PC/fds3.exe
If you have installed version 3, just replace your present
fds3.exe with the one
from the FTP site. If you haven't installed version 3,
install it, then replace the
original fds3.exe with the new version. Remember that the
new version is still the
``official'' release. There are no new features, just fixes.
Check the
``Compile Date'' that scrolls out in the diagnostic printout
to make sure you are
running the latest version. The Compile Date is most
important. I'm sloppy with
version numbers, but I will try to keep up.
Kevin
PS Could the person reporting the boundary condition bug
check the new version to
see that it corrects the problem and let me know. I
accidently deleted all your email.
