Smokeview 4.0.4 and testing

All,
I've posted a new Smokeview version 4.0.4 on the web site, 
http://fire.nist.gov/fds .  Some of the changes since the version 
released in September are:

   1. Put more commonly used Load File options at top of Load menus.
   2. Added a widget in the renamed File/Bounds Settings dialog box
      (formerly Set Bounds dialog box) to allow one to skip frames when
      reading in data files (to reduce memory required).
   3. Moved the 3D Smoke settings dialog box to the renamed File/Bounds
      Settings dialog box.
   4. Changed default blockage view option to show blockages as defined
      in the input file (see Smokeview FAQ entry: Q7)
      <../docs/svfaq.html#q7>.

There were a number of bugs that were not caught before 4.0.3 was posted 
(for one day!!) .  To try and help the testing process, I've added a new 
email list for those interested in helping out testing our software.  
When we post a new version of FDS or Smokeview to be tested we'll send 
out a message to whoever is on the list. 

To sign up, go to "feedback" link at http://fire.nist.gov/fds  and sign 
up for the "fdstesters" email list or send an email to 
listproc@nist.gov. The body of the message should contain the phrase:

subscribe fdstesters Jane Doe

where as usual, Jane Doe should be changed to your name.

There is an early version of Smokeview 4.0.5 ready to be tested .  You 
may obtain it by going to http://fire.nist.gov/fds/svtest .    Let me 
know if you have any comments or see any problems.
