Subject: Origin of Matlab
I came across this interesting video (see link) from Cleve Moler's
website (a JAMA author for those who don't know) where he described the
origin of Matlab and some history about numerical algebra. Very
informative brief history. I noted from the video that Jack Dongara
was a member of the original Linpack team. I do use some routines from
Jack's JLapack (java lapack) project.
