Subject: SIAM Meeting in Atlanta
This is a reminder to all who will be in Atlanta, Georgia, for the SIAM
Annual Meeting to attend Minisymposium 31 on Thursday afternoon, May 13, and
Minisymposium 60 on Friday afternoon, May 14. Thanks to Jeff Geronimo of
Georgia Tech for organizing these minisymposia. The subject is Orthogonal
Polynomials: Theory and Applications.
This is also an invitation to meet in the pool area of the hotel from
6:30 to 7:30 on Friday, May 14, for a special reception provided by SIAM at
my request. This reception is open to anyone who is interested in Orthogonal
Polynomials and Special Functions. There will be no program, just an
informal get-together. Please come and meet some of the officers and fellow
members of the Activity Group, and please invite anyone you meet who might be
interested in the activities of our Group. Light refreshments will be
available without charge.
There will be a meeting of the officers on Saturday morning. If you
have issues or ideas for the officers to consider, please contact me or one
of the other officers in Atlanta, or send email to me at
daniel.lozier@nist.gov.
