Since there will be an Federal PKI update on the
coming PKI Workshop, may I put a question already?
SOA is something that is coming in a big way even
within the Federal Government.
One of the prime characteristics of such schemes is
that applications (servers) call other services over the Internet
rather than only calling internal subroutines.
This puts new hard demands on
security including authentication.
An obvious question is thus: In what way is the
Federal PKI planning to support this new way of creating exciting
applications?
It would be very nice to have some kind
of answer to the PKI Workshop.

The SOA CoP is
conducting a “SOA For E-Government” conference[3] in the -

The CoP has
also recently undertaken the creation of a SOA demo[5] whose purpose is to
demonstrate the business value and technical feasibility of SOA, with various
scenarios involving an example “SOA Community” that collaborates to achieve a
business goal. The demo will utilize OMG’s Model Driven Architecture (MDA) to
model the community and produce WSDL-SOA interfaces. -

#2: A conference call for the SOA demo has just been set for tomorrow (Thur,
