No - real media does not provide an api into their video.
We use that format extensively, but we have written our own
digitization wrapper (for Osprey board on PCs) that takes raw
video in, extracts some information, then sends the video on to
real media for compression. Once it is in real format, there is no
way to do anything but play it back.
