Re: Source Material

Hi Mark,

In answer to your questions:

- Are these materials on the TREC NIST DVD, or at the UNC site?

The few with names starting with "NIST" are on the NIST
DVD which is available from NIST (use the link off the webpage
	to order)

The others can be downloaded from then OpenVideo site.

- If they are at the UNC site, should we download only the ones noted
on the Proposed Collection?

The designated material is the only material which can be
returned as the result of a search.

I think other materials could be cited as part of a topic
as long as that material is accessible to everyone and will
be around indefinitely - guess we'll need a copy with the
	topic that uses it.

So far, the track has not put any restrictions on what material
outside the collection people can use for training.

- If the UNC site data is not included, does this mean that other
non-proprietary sources may also be used?

As per the above, the answer depends on the use.

I'm not familiar with the "NASA mission scenelists".
