Hi,
I have a question concerning the "text overlay" features. The guidelines
specify the minimum height to be 1/10th of the frame height and the
minimum width to be 1/3 of the frame width. This is rather big compared
to the actual text present in the feature test collection videos. This
means text at least 35 pixels high, and most good-visible (and
detectable) text is just 15 pixels high.
My question is: is the minimum height the font height, or is it the
height of the area covered by text, i.e. eventually including multiple
text lines. The latter case would make the definition of these text
areas difficult, e.g. in one frame there is text at the top and text at
the bottom. Is the text area the whole frame?
The former definition, i.e. the minimum height refers to the font
height, will, in my opinion, not detect very much text in this
collection.
Thank you very much for your responses,
Christian Wolf
