Hi,
Today we are issuing the call for participation in TRECVID 2008.
You can find links to the call and a draft set of guidelines on
the main TRECVID webpage:
<http://trecvid.nist.gov>
While continuing the core feature and search tasks against larger
amounts of the new Sound & Vision data and completing a second,
final round of summarization of BBC rushes, TRECVID 2008 will
explore two very different video analysis problems in two new pilot
tasks: event detection in airport surveillance data and content-based
copy detection. It will be a busy workshop.
If, after studying the draft guidelines and carefully reading the
call, you are interested in participating in one or more of the tasks,
please follow the instructions in the call and apply at your earliest
convenience *before 22. February*.
Once you've applied, you'll receive information from NIST about
taking part in the email discussion list aimed at putting the guidelines
in final form and instructions on the process for getting the training
and test data.
We look forward to your participation and a stimulating workshop.
Thanks,
Paul Over
