Lecture Room A:

Windows Vista Security:  This tutorial will discuss OCIO's Windows Vista Policy with the goal of providing a better understanding of the necessary steps in testing prior to deployment of Vista on NIST Networks.  ITL's Computer Security Division will then discuss its research on the security status of the new operating system architecture, and will provide attendees practical information for users to apply to their home Vista systems.

Lecture Room B:

Enterprise Security for BlackBerries:   This session will provide information regarding the NIST Enterprise Blackberry Service and how OCIO ensures the security of data on the Blackberry device and in transmission.  Additional topics will include Blackberry productivity tips and best practices.

Lecture Room C:
Laptop Encryption at NIST:  This tutorial consists of two parts:  the policies for securing data on mobile devices, and the basics of using SafeBoot encryption software.  Basics include logging into Safeboot, and changing and resetting the password.
Lecture Room D:

How to Ensure IT Security in Acquisitions:  This tutorial will provide an introduction to the newly issued DOC Information Security in Acquisitions Checklist, which aims to ensure information security considerations in acquisitions.  Procedures for Contracting Officers (CO) and Contracting Officer's Representatives (COR) will be highlighted.
